The location is very central

− The listing gave us the impression that the apartment we booked would have a Grand Canal view. However, the apartment we stayed in faced a wall, with no Grand Canal view, and had very little natural light. The furnishings were basic and felt dated. The view was an important reason for our booking, so this was disappointing.

The apartment management was exceptional

− Booking.com presents a misleading impression with images of a canal view. Instead, we faced a wall, which felt quite deceptive. The TV did not work. The shower was broken and I had to fix the water heater. The TV remote did not have batteries. The TV was not programmed. The main TV is broken

Die Lage direkt am Canale Grande ist sensationell, die Aussicht entsprechend. Wohnung und Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut per Vaporetto (Haltestelle Rialto) zu erreichen. Die Wohnung bietet mit 100 qm ausreichend Platz.

− Die Beleuchtung in Küche und Bad ist sehr spärlich. Das gemeinsame Badezimmer ist von beiden Schlafzimmern aus zu erreichen, aber nur eine der beiden Türen ist verschliessbar. Die Küche ist ist für Selbstversorger völlig unzureichend ausgestattet, selbst das Frühstück kann man nicht richtig zubereiten, da elementare Utensilien fehlen. Es reicht für einen Kaffee oder Tee (ohne Teekanne), auch ein Glas Wein kann man auf dem Balkon mit Kanalblick geniessen. In dieser Preiskategorie sollte ein anderer Standard gepflegt werden.

AMAZING -- a Venice dream-come-true location!

AMAZING terrace and UNBEATABLE location for Grand Canal/Rialto Bridge view/area. Cannot say enough about the bonus of sitting on the terrace and watching the constant boating/gondola activity on the canal at all hours -- breakfast coffee watching the gondolas get going and fruit/veg deliveries arrive below. Multiple doors open onto the terrace. So great. Very comfortable and clean. Old building/entry (obviously -- and to us its atmospheric). Dishwasher/stove/fridge/lighting all worked great. Unusual decor was an amusing nonproblem. Host communications were excellent. Instructions for access required internet and WhatsApp but were clearly explained and worked well. We loved watching/listening to the restaurant buzz below. Rialto is a very busy area but San Polo behind it is immediately very quiet and has a lot of restaurants/bars/shops. Easy to escape the St Marks crowds. Was a dream-come true for us.

− We LOVED the all-hours canal activity but could be a bit noisy if you are sensitive (it's worth it!) Accessibility notes -- it is on the 3rd floor with stair walk-up. The retro claw tub has only a hand-held shower. No problem for us, but just noting for others.

Overall we loved the apartment. The decor is fun and quirky and the views are spectacular

The location is amazing and loved the view of the Grand Canal

− Their need to be a hook for the handheld shower piece so you can use it as a shower. We’re American so an ice cube tray for the freezer would be nice.
