Keys were collected from the hotel reception that is also owned by same owner as the property we rented. Hotel facilities (reception, bar, pool table and gardens with views) were available to be used, which was excellent.

We made the best of a bad job….

− Stairs to apartment steep and in our view dangerous. We had a disabled person (my sister) with us, and she was so frightened, she had to be relocated Kitchen adequate only: one cabinet door fell off; no working sink plug; cooker ignition not working (?) etc etc To be fair, the manager/s corrected some of the issues when informed, and did rehouse my sister in the main hotel Insufficient instructions/guidance available, and the apartment’s description needs clear warning about the staircase

− Access from the back of the building through a cramped car park (I did not get a parking space so had to park somewhere else). In general the property needs TLC. (taps are falling, showers are clumsy, door handles need fix etc)

Avoid like the plague!

The location was great. Just far away from the sea front not to be disturbed.

− Where do I start!!! They had no record of our booking so the apartment wasn’t clean. To be fair it wasn’t that clean when they said they had done it. The oven doesn’t work. When I went to complain I was told I could leave and find somewhere else to stay. I was then told it must have been the previous guests. But that was a blatant lie as I went through the reviews and found one from march this year stating the oven was broken then. So it just hadn’t been fixed. The owner then sent her chef to look at it. And I questioned whether it should be an oven specialist or electrician and what qualifications he had! So we didn’t have an oven to use. The kitchen cupboard doors were hanging off. The kitchen wasn’t equipped with enough to cater for 7 people. The standard of utensils was shocking. There wasn’t a cover on the boiler which is a breach of health and safety laws. When you flushed the toilet, water gurgled up into the shower. The curtain poll was hanging out of the wall. (Someone did come and fix that) The mattress didn’t fit the bed. The kitchen tap fell off every time you tried to use the hot tap. There were exposed wires right by the sink. The tiles in the main bathroom were falling off. And to top it all off, there wasn’t any batteries in the smoke alarm (we only noticed this as we were doing the final checks before we left) If we could have afforded to, we would have left and found somewhere else on the first day. I would avoid this place like the plague. It’s not only unfit for purpose, it’s dangerous. And the owner clearly doesn’t care about the state of the place. Maybe if she had spent less on the garish decor in the hotel and more on the maintenance of her apartment she’d have had a better review.
