The apartment was spotless and had everything you needed for a short stay city break.

− Upon arrival we just dropped our bags and used the bathroom and we were about to go out for food as we were all starving and 2 workmen arrived at the apartment with a hot water boiler to install. Both spoke no english and we had to communicate via google translate. They wanted to install boiler as had been there the day before and the new one which was still sitting in the living area was faulty. We explained that we had just arrived and were going out so they had to leave. I contaced the vendor to explain and they wanted us to arrange another time for them to come back but we were only in Barcelona for 3 nights and didnt want to waste time sitting in waiting on this to be done and we were not comfortable being unable to communicate with them having them there. This ment we had zero hot water our entire stay so freezing showers where we couldnt wash our hair etc. Also one of the toilets was removed before our arrival so although we had 2 bathrooms only one had a working wc the faulty one was sitting out on the balcony. There was no mention of any of this prior to us going or in the advert. With 4 people all needing to use one toilet it wasnt convenient. This is why i booked it as it had 2 full shower rooms. Also, the whole apartment needed painting and freshen up as the pictures make it look much newer/nicer than it actually is. Its very tired looking in real life. The beds were not very comfortable compared to many other places we have sayed and only 1 pillow each was provided which if your used to 2 was disappointing. We are very disappointed about the whole stay as it was our first time abroad in 27 years and my 2 kids very first holiday abroad and this really took away the excitement and left us all very disappointed. Barcelona is a beautiful city and i will go back but would not book this apartment again.
