Es ist ein besonderer Ort. Die Eigentümer sind sehr freundlich und haben dieses Schmuckstück mit viel Liebe zum Detail wunderschön renoviert. Als Gast bekommt man kostenlos eine Schlossführung. Die Lage ist sehr gut für Besichtigungen aller Art. Es ist im Ort wunderbar ruhig.

Schöner Innenhof

− Gebucht ist gebucht, keine Erstattung bei vorzeitiger Abreise nach schlafloser Nacht. Leider war unser Aufenthalt enttäuschend. Im Dachzimmer hörte man die ganze Nacht laute Geräusche von Nagetieren hinter den Rigipsdecken und immer wieder in der Küche – an Schlaf war kaum zu denken. Dazu war der Schlafbereich extrem ungünstig gestaltet: kein aufrechter Gang zur der Matratze, man musste über den Partner klettern, und wer an der Außenseite lag, schlief praktisch direkt in der Dachschräge. Eine erholsame Nacht war unmöglich, und auf unsere Beschwerde reagierte der Gastgeber leider wenig entgegenkommend.Schließlich hatten sich die vorherigen Gäste nicht beklagt.

Nice apartment but location may prove challenging for some

The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped. Easy to cook meals in, as basic equipment covers all needs. We were met promptly at the gate for key handover. There is nothing to fault about the apartment itself - it was a lovely apartment. The building is attractive, although the palm trees in the courtyard are somewhat incongruous.

− While acknowledging that the hosts cannot do anything about the following two main points, it really is important that travellers are properly aware. Firstly: the accommodation is in a tiny village with literally nothing to do and nowhere to go. There are no shops at all - you cannot even get a carton of milk to make a cup of tea or coffee. There is no cafe or pub, and nowhere to go for a walk. The nearest town is Creglingen which is approx 10 min drive away, however there is not much on offer in this town either. In view of the cost of the accommodation, it might be nice if the hosts could provide basic supplies like tea, coffee and long-life milk so that at least a cup of coffee could be made after a day's travelling. Secondly: do not underestimate the impact of the incessant church bells. The bells ring every 15 minutes, right throughout the day and night. They also toll the hour, every hour, and there is extra bell-ringing at 6am. The church is extremely close - less than 200m away. There is no wifi available. If you are intending on visiting Rothenburg o-d-T from here it is a good 30 min drive away.

A great stay on a historic place!

Excellent, nice hosts and the coolest place we stayed in. Ever. The place was clean, and decorated in a historic style, and easily accessible.
