Fair stay, but some small changes would go a long way to make it excellent.

We loved how easy and seamless the check-in process was. The friendly, welcoming lady at the inn where we collected the keys made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Collecting the keys in this quaint way was a lovely touch that perfectly suited the character of the town. The instructions for retrieving the keys were clear, detailed, and easy to follow, making our arrival completely hassle-free. The property is in a convenient location and was a good size, exactly as shown in the online photos. We especially loved the enclosed stoep at the back, the beautiful garden, and the firewood provided for the fireplace, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The heaters in the rooms were a welcome addition, especially during the colder weather. However, the heater in the main bedroom could not be used because its extension cord was not working. All-in-all, we had a pleasant stay.

1. The manual gate made us feel a little uneasy. Having to get out of the car each time to unlock the padlock, push the gate open, and then lock it again didn't feel particularly safe, especially when arriving or leaving. We also found it difficult to ensure the padlock was properly secured. An automated gate would improve both security and the first impression of the property. 2. The kitchen amenities could have been cleaner. The dishcloth had visible stains, the sink plug was very grimy, and the cloth for wiping surfaces was also dirty. This made us hesitant to use the kitchen. Replacing these inexpensive items between guests would make a big difference. The complimentary coffee was a thoughtful touch and was appreciated. 3. There was no body wash or shampoo provided in the bathrooms. At R1,200 per night, we had expected these basic amenities. Installing refillable wall-mounted dispensers would be an affordable and practical solution while adding to the overall guest experience. 4. The bedrooms were quite cold. The vanity in the main bedroom is broken, and the cupboard doors do not close properly. One bedside lamp had no light bulb, and there is no power point on that side of the bed to plug in either the lamp or the electric blanket. The extension cord provided in the cupboard was old and not working, so we couldn't use the heater nor the electric blanket in the main bedroom. Replacing it with a new extension lead—ideally one with USB charging ports—would be a simple but worthwhile improvement. 5. Because the bedrooms were cold, we would have appreciated extra blankets. We were also hesitant to use the electric blankets, as they appeared old and didn't inspire much confidence in their safety. The bed itself was comfortable, but the linen looked worn and somewhat dated. The second bedroom was much better; my son had a comfortable stay there. Heater worked wonderfully.6.The bathroom sinks could do with deeper clean to remove stains.

Home away from home. A place we'll definitely choose to stay at again.

The location was perfect, we walked everywhere. The accommodation had everything you can think of. We loved the fireplace and boardgames and the service received from our hosts was amazing, they were quick to respond to all our queries. It's definitely a home away from home.

Nothing to note.

Very cute holiday home, lovely private patio with BBQ and garden, the fireplace inside was nice, fully equipped kitchen

Needs a bit of repair, the beds were very small and not stable at all and noisy. Cleaning service woke us up at 7 am by just walking in the house while we were all sleeping.
