Location is great and the barn was clean and well appointed. Great for dog walks in the evening.

Unser beiden Mädels hatten zusammen einen eigenen Schlafbereich, durch Vorhang getrennt. Der Wohn-/Kochbereich war sehr komfortabel, schön eingerichtet mit allem, was man brauchen kann: - ein Wohnbereich, der geräumig mit Fernseher war, - ein Kochbereich, der voll eingerichtet war, mit allem, was man brauchte sowie - ein separater Essbereich. Insgesamt sehr großzügig. Die Umgebung war einfach wundervoll! Es lohnt sich, dort Spaziergänge zu machen (auch unser Hund war begeistert!). Der gesamte Park ist liebevoll gestaltet mit mehreren Wanderwegen. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen!

− Das einzige, was besser sein könnte: Die Betten. Die waren ein wenig wie Hängematten. Dafür muss ich einfach einen Punkt abziehen. Das scheint allerdings ein gesamt-britisches Phänomen zu sein, das wir auf unserer zweiwöchigen Rundreise um die Insel immer wieder erlebt haben.

It had everything you need, from cleaning products to condiments.

− Upstairs neighbours were a bit noisy at late night, we could just hear them walking around and was very noisy

Lovely place but needs a bit of work

Beautiful location in the middle of an old country estate. There are many walks and things to see, and if you go at the right time of year they have a cafe and animal area to visit. The grounds of the big house are stunning. The site is dog friendly. The barn is functional and has a sufficient kitchen area with induction hob, fridge, microwave etc. The shower is really good and the one we had was a disabled accessible wetroom. There is a washer and dryer in the toilet room which came in handy. If you are a light sleeper ask for the top floor as the bottom is an echo chamber for anyone staying below. This is in no way the owners fault but something to be aware of as we had a couple who were throwing a ball for their dog from 6am which got tiresome. Overall it's a lovely place to stay and is close to Port Glasgow where you can go to the supermarket or there is free parking at the train station if you want to go further afield without driving. Arthur who owns the site is really nice too and will try to go the extra mile for you if he can. I would definitely stay again.

− The beds are not brilliant. The pull out was supposed to be a double but most of the slats were missing on one half so it could only be used as a single. The double was a memory foam mattress that had a lump in the middle from use. It wasn't completely uncomfortable but not great either.
