A perfect and restful hideaway
9.0The kids loved the friendly dogs and the experience of picking the eggs from the henhouse. My husband liked building the fire, I guess it’s a primal thing. With Helen’s keen eye and advice, we spotted wild kangaroos and koalas and that was truly special. The laughing kookaburra bird calls and the sounds of the wind whistling through the trees were so restful. Getting to see a night sky full of stars was magical. There are multiple fruit trees on the farm and I wish we had been able to try them. (It’s winter now) They include an apple, pear, avocado, lemon and lime trees. The kids did pick up some walnuts and that was cool. The herb garden was very cool and even my son ate parsley and celery. The animals were friendly except for the dark goat. I liked Helen’s description of him as a bully but a scaredy cat at heart. That’s a good life lesson there. There were gum boots for loan during the stay so everyone could traipse through the mud with no worries.

10.0We loved the welcoming to the property by the owners who also helped with places to see. The bird life on the property was amazing as well as the views from the deck of our stay.
