Overall, this accommodation fell short of reasonable exp experience.
3.0− 2 Night Stay at Wheatley Downs Farm Stay & Backpackers In the first instance, upon entering the accommodation, the room had a damp, musty odour which was immediately noticeable and unpleasant. There was no room key provided, and several window latches were missing, which raised concerns regarding both security and basic maintenance. The layout was also unusual, with the laundry washing machine located in the kitchen area beside the cooktop and sink bench. In addition, there were insufficient accessible power point outlets for normal use. The bunk bed mattress appeared to be well past its serviceable life, as the slats could be felt when lying down (and I weigh only 66 kg), making it uncomfortable for sleeping. Connectivity was also an issue — there was no Wi-Fi available, and mobile phone reception was extremely poor, if available at all. On returning to the property at approximately 10:00 pm on Saturday evening, there were no external or internal lights on anywhere. The property was in complete darkness, and we were reliant on a mobile phone torch to safely find our way into the chalet. Access to the property was also difficult, with the gateway being very narrow and requiring an awkward approach angle. It was a tight fit even for a Toyota HiLux. We also needed to purchase fly spray due to the presence of insects, and there was no soap provided for showering, which is a basic amenity one would reasonably expect

− The possums on the roof on one occasion in the night. Could do more trapping perhaps? But I didn't mind it at all...
