We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lion's Residence in Veliko Tarnovo. The Lion's Residence is a historic two-storey guest house on a cobblestone street, slightly removed from the main area but still walkable for guests with reasonable fitness. Recently renovated with a modern bathroom, it retains its medieval character and charming quirks. The standout feature is the beautiful balcony, which offers sweeping valley views and a relaxing place to sit at any time of day. Guests also have access to a shared kitchen with the basics needed for whipping up breakfast or coffee. Several good restaurants are nearby, and the main street, with more restaurants and bars, is only a short walk away. The main attractions are also easy to reach. Please note that taxis cannot drive down the road, so guests arriving without a car will need to walk about 400 metres to the guest house with their luggage. Lora communicated clearly before our arrival, and the spacious apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable three-night stay. She went above and beyond by helping us book a taxi and sharing many suggestions for places to visit and eat. Highly recommended.

Ubicación fantástica y colchones muy cómodos. Las instrucciones para llegar por parte de la propietaria muy bien e incluso te aconseja de sitios para comer los cuales son muy acertados.

− En las fotos parece que el apartamento tiene una gran terraza con taburetes y vistas pero el apartamento de dos habitaciones no lo tiene, solo dispone de un mini balcón y claro elegimos este alojamiento precisamente por la terraza, la cual cosa nos decepcionó. Las escaleras para subir al piso de arriba son sumamente estrechas y empinadas lo que dificulta subir y bajar constantemente sobretodo con las maletas.

Great apartment in Veliko historical center

The location was great, the apartment was very clean, and communication with the host was excellent. The host gave us recommendations on where to eat, what to do, and where to find a parking space, which we were able to find without any issues.

− The floor was a little noisy and the bathroom quite small, but however it wasn’t a big issue for us.

Clean and spacious room. Large balcony with stunning view! Equipped shared kitchen. The owner of the apartment is available and very helpful. Excellent central location. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come back again on our next trip.

Amplasarea locației, pe strada Gurko și vederea din camera. Amabilitatea gazdei.

− Faptul că nu există parcare a proprietății, iar locurile de pe strada sunt deja ”imparțite” intre localnici. În perioade aglomerate, ca cea in care am fost eu, era un stres gasirea unui loc de parcare. Faptul că din poze nu mi-am dat seama ca mini-bucătăria nu este inclusă in apartament, ci este in afara lui (un etaj mai jos). Si a trebuit sa plimb vesela intre etaje. Ca recomandare, ar trebui completat cu mai multa vesela. Apropierea de sosea face ca zgomotul să fie prezent. Pentru cei care sunt sensibili la zgomot este un element de luat in seama.
