Clean . Bed was comfortable . Shower was ok but did alternate hot and cold .. kitchen was ideal and pay for electric was fair price

− The Lavenders would benefit from having a name plate on the building so guests can find it ... I spent over an hour trying to contact the owner via booking . Com because I had no way of checking in .. luckily bumped into another guest who told me I should have received instructions on what's app and gave me the owners contact details ... The only other thing and not really the owners fault .. every morning it smelt like someone was smoking inside the building .. probably why the fire alarm went off one night

Nothing.

− I do not know where the owner got the (advertising) photographs from but our room did not resemble any of these photographs at all. When we arrived at the house, there was only room for possibly 4 makeshift parking spaces, for 9 rooms! There is no other parking available for the house, as it is permit holders parking in this area. When we entered the house, there was an awful smell and it made you feel nauseous. The kitchen and our bedroom were quite pokey and resembled student accomodation. Both very basic, none of the luxury feel that the photos portray. The kitchen looked dirty and had someone's washing up left on the counter. It also smelt awful. In our room, the bedding looked old and grubby, as did the entire room. The towels were very old, stained and had no softness to them. The curtains were torn and in need of washing. The bed and pillows were hard. The kettle was dirty and there were no cups if you wanted to make a hot drink. There were drinking glasses but they were dirty. The television remote control did not work. The bathroom door would not stay closed and had no lock on it. The light and extractor fan in the bathroom is automatic and kept going off in the night, despite no one using it, which was frustrating. The hairdryer was positioned on the wall, in the corridor outside of the bedroom. I do not know how the owner can honestly charge £75 for this room. It was not worth it and you do not get value for money. If we could have found somewhere else to stay, we would have. We would not use this Airbnb again and would definitely not recommend it.

− door entry system is a little fiddley, code built in to the handle, so had to crouch to see and small buttons
