− Niemand gezien. Rare ontvangst. Na roepen, kwam uiteindelijk iemand tevoorschijn achter een luikje die meedeelde dat we zelf maar de baas moesten bellen. Toen de baas niet bereikbaar bleek, kregen we de sleutel via het luikje overhandigd.

The guest house has a very good location with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and convenience stores. It is convenient for getting around and makes travelling hassle-free. The surrounding area is peaceful and suitable for a relaxing stay.

− We upgraded our stay from a Budget Room to a Studio Room and were allocated a room on the first floor. Unfortunately, the room location is not recommended for elderly guests as the staircase has no lighting and lacks handrails, making it unsafe. Additionally, there was a leak from the air-conditioning pipe which caused the stairs to become wet and slippery. My husband almost fell while using the stairs due to the slippery condition. We hope the management can improve the safety measures, especially the staircase lighting, handrails, and maintenance of the air-conditioning system, to ensure a safer and more comfortable stay for future guests

They had breakfast

− I thought it’s a cute little place when I first arrived. I didn’t mind that the shower was not working because they did provide a bucket and I was used to that from other places. I didn’t really liked how many insect there were in the room at night and the room didn’t had a mosquito net so I talked to my room neighbours about that and they said they would prefer all the insects because in their room is an whole ant colony (but the Guesthouse did provide insect spray against that). Another couple told me about a giant lizard in their bathroom. I wouldn’t have complained about these things because it’s Asia and it’s part of the experience but I was really unhappy that I also received bed bucks from my stay. I asked two days in a row after I left to go with the management to the room and show them but they didn’t let me. The owner didn’t believe me and said I would just bring that up and it would be “very bad” that I just spread those rumours. I couldn’t have got them from any other place. He also said that they never had a problem with animals which made me quiet laugh. Anyway- I fell in love with Cherating and I will definitely be back. Next time for sure in another place though
