7.0I think it is as it is when someone sleeps at a place like this. It is as it is stated on Booking.com. Staff is superb. Food is fair.
− Hot tub is a joke as well as the sauna. Sauna is not maintained door can not be closed properly and sauna can not be warmed up as it should be. So there is a shallow, not really warm “pond” next to the barrel like not well kept sauna. If I went next time I would not choose this place since it can be visited only on foot or by a superbus/superjeep. You need these highly built cars in order to cross Krossá (big river). Both super vehicles are very expensive (20000 ISK/person for a superbus ride back and forth). Next time I would rather drive into the valley with a 4x4 drive on the right side of the Krossá and sleep there or just take a hike and drive back. I think this camp is overpriced.

8.0The beds had linen and room had a heater which came hand after a full day hike in the rain. Very helpful staff, great restaurant serving all you can eat lunches and dinners and free sauna!

− Just be mindful that you have to take a big and expensive 4x wheel drive bus to get there. Your individual 4x wheel drive car won’t be able to cross the rivers

10.0Wo fangen wir an? Vertraut ihnen wenn sie euch 10 mal fragen ob ihr den Bus schon gebucht habt. Alles was keinen Snorkel hat ist raus bei der Krossa Querung ☝🏻🙈 Die Leute die das Vulcano Hut am Leben erhalten sind sehr sehr nett und sie können euch jede Wanderung im Detail beschreiben . Hast du ein Problem, haben sie eine Lösung 😎🥰. Die Unterkünfte und Sanitäranlagen sind Mega sauber und die Atmosohäre im Haupthaus und Gästehaus ist locker entspannt, easy peasy 🙃🙂 und das Essen, Jupp, das Frühstück und Dinner ist echt lecker und ich bin mäklig 🥳🤩🤩 ich habe das Abendessen geliebt !! Und die Landschaft ist auch hier einfach wow. Hach es war schön! bardzo dziękuję und muchas Gracias !

The Volcano Huts Thorsmork is in a remote location, only accessible by hiking or special busses during 1 May to 30 September.
During winter from 1 October to 30 April, transportation by super jeep is required and guests can be picked up from Seljalandsfoss waterfall or Reykjavik. There is a car park at the Seljalandsfoss pick-up point.
