8.0The room was surprisingly comfy and I slept well with the windows open. The house had all the things you would need for an off the beaten path adventure. Joe is a curious and happy host.
− But, if I'm being honest I was surprised to be charged extra for (5 hours) of air con. (I would have though that given the price, it would be included.) Joe took the batteries out of the remote. Towels were also extra. The charges should perhaps be listed on booking. com so that people are aware before booking that there will be more costs. And there were quite a few rules and fines, for things, such as don't eat or drink in the room and put the toilet seat down, and clean up your mess. I get that this is Joe's house and he likes things just so... But then the biggest disappointment was that the bedding had not been washed since the last person as it smelt like it had already been slept in. Clean, newly laundered sheets and fresh pillow cases should be a basic requirement.
