10.0The accommodation was clean, cozy, comfortable, the property has beautiful walks to rivers and waterfalls. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We did not need to go to Dullstroom to pass our time.
− The truck traffic on Friday night was particularly busy and the sound was quite noticeable.
Beautiful, cozy cottage. Massive bath with piping hot water and fireplace in the bedroom.
9.0− Suggest bringing your own firewood from home, since Dullstroom wood tends to be a bit wet (in my experience). We brought dry wood with us, which worked out well.

10.0We had a wonderful time at the Schaefers'Halt. We stayed at the cosy cottage. Beautiful views and peace of mind. It was a cold weekend but the cottage was well equipped with a beautiful fire place and electric blankets which made the nights easy to get through. Thank you so much Senette for making us feel at home.

9.0A Magical and Perfect Romantic Hideaway! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Schaefer's Halt, the Snug! It is a beautiful, cozy, and small little cottage that serves as the perfect romantic hideaway. The hostess was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Inside, the cottage was extremely neat, sparkling clean, and welcoming. The bedroom features a fireplace and is perfectly equipped for cold nights. Both the bedroom and bathroom are stocked with exceptionally high-quality linen that adds a wonderful feeling of luxury to the experience. They have truly thought of everything here—down to the nice, soft blankets provided for sitting outside on the stove, comfy chairs, as well as a table and chairs for early morning coffee and rusks or simply taking in the pictures scene. The surrounding hiking trails are beautiful, the scenery is absolutely gorgeous, there are lots of beautiful photo spots everywhere you look. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a romantic, peaceful, and old worldly comfortable escape!
