10.0This hotel is right at the Durbar square of Baktpur with excellent temple view from window of the room. And with this location its so convenient to all the shops and places. Staff are all so nice and smile and say hello to me each time when met. And the 2 handsome guys and they are so warm and helps me with my luggage which is so heavy.
− Sheets on one of the beds are not so clean with many yellow stain on. Duvet cover is not in White color which i am not sure if they are clean. Luckily is that the sheets on the othet bed is clean.

Nice location at Durbar square
8.0Nice location right at Durbar square. The room was spacious and clean, overlooking Durbar square, the shower powerful and hot. Got woken up by temple bells and chanting which we liked.
− Mattress is extremely soft, too much for us. Tall westerners need to mind their heads when going into the bathroom. Slightly musty smell in the corridor.
An experience to always remember
10.0I have stayed at this property several times in the past and it has greatly improved over the years. The room was very comfortable and relaxing, and with a perfect view directly on to the historic Durbar Square of Bhaktapur. The staff were welcoming and helpful as always, and reception even sent a porter to carry our luggage from the far end of the Square, and to deliver it to the room on an upper floor. Taxis are not allowed to enter the historic area, so this kindness was much appreciated. My best memories are of the bells ringing and people praying in the temples just outside the hotel. This is not "a production for the tourists," Shiva Guest House is in a very privileged location and a visit here is something to be savored.
