As a basecamp for daily exploration this is an excellent place.
8.0It is a beautiful place, and each cottage makes you feel as though you are staying in a secluded garden. It is very quiet, and the birdlife in the mornings is abundant. We disrupted the flow of things by bringing our big dogs (AmStaffs), but the owners and staff took it in their stride. We did have to keep our dogs on leash all the time because there are dogs on the property as well. It was cold during our stay and the owners recommended that the heater stays on at night, we appreciated that. If you are there for MTB, the trails start 2Km from the venue.
− This accommodation is perfectly suited to travelers that will stay make coffee and toast and have all their meals someplace else. As we needed to stay there fulltime with our dogs the facilities were limited. It is also not really suited for dogs accompanying you as there are no places where the dogs can run off-leash. But that is our situation. If you want to use this as a base to sleep and then to explore the surrounds, you would be hard pressed to get better accommodation.
