2.0The location is good. It offers easy access to the beach, shops, and transportation.
− The breakfast was very simple: one fried egg, two pieces of toast with one small portion of butter, two sausages, two small pieces of watermelon, and a choice of either one cup of coffee or one glass of juice (you could not have both). If you wanted more butter, it cost 15 Baht, an extra fried egg was 25 Baht, and so on. I found this to be very stingy. Furthermore, the tables were almost never wiped down; the staff only removed the dirty plates left by previous guests. The staff clearly haven't been trained in hospitality. I hardly ever saw a smile on their faces, and they served food more like robots. I even saw a staff member sitting on the kitchen floor with their hands on the ground, which made me wonder if they washed their hands before handling food. They are supposed to be selling a service, but this was the worst service I have ever experienced—especially for Thailand, the Land of Smiles. The first room we were given looked absolutely nothing like the nice pictures on Booking.com. It felt like it hadn't been used or cleaned in a very long time; there was no table, only one nightstand, and the long shelf was incredibly dusty—not to mention the horrible state of the wardrobe and the dust on top of it. I had to walk over to the reception in the other building to report this. The receptionist was very helpful and allowed us to change to the room next door. This second room was a bit better, but I still had to clean the long shelf myself and go back to reception to ask housekeeping to come clean the wardrobe. Housekeeping explained that they didn't have enough staff to manage everything because it was the low season. Ironically, right before arriving at Golden Guesthouse, I received a message saying everything was prepared and arranged to welcome us, but what we experienced was the exact opposite.

− Only neg I got is breakfast ( hopefully your not by yourself & you'll get dif stuff & make your own lil buffet) is not buffet, other than that awesome
