Disappointing, glad it was only an overnight stay
4.0Location was perfect for visiting Malham Cove. Breakfast was very nice, a good selection.
− The bed was so uncomfortable I slept on the floor with the dogs. The pillows definitely need replacing as they were very flat. Food seemed a little overpriced on the evening menu, my husband had the lamb kofta flatbread, 2 koftas, a mountain of tzatziki and a hard flatbread for £18.95 was pretty steep. The church bells! I hadn't read other reviews about the church bells, they ring every 15 minutes throughout the night and given the warm weather there was no chance of sleeping with the window closed. The ensuite bathroom was tiny, hardly any room to move in the shower.

− The only real problem, the reason for the negative location mark, is that its right next to the church & the bells sound every quarter hour all through the night. I had very little sleep.
Good old pub but the food was much more than average
8.0Felt welcome from the start. Good friendly staff. Food was excellent and they provided me with food to go due to 4am start. The pb had a nice vibe and there were lots of reserved tables - say no more!!

Excellent unpretentious inn. Great beers, great pub food and clean rooms. Staff work very hard and are very friendly.
