Terrace. Attentive owner. Nice standard room. Quiet area, far from other tourists Boat safari.

− The location is a bit too far from the restaurants or the beach. Cheap tuktuk options are available though. WiFi not the best but manageable.

I spent only two days in Bentota, but Prabath made my stay truly memorable. My first impression of the villa was very positive - it’s located away from the railway, so you don’t hear passing trains all the time. Inside, there is plenty of space, everything is clean, and you have all you need for a great stay: a small kitchen, air conditioning, a fan, a comfortable bed, and a balcony where you can enjoy a meal outdoors or just relax. The host is very friendly and helpful, always ready to give advice and assist with planning activities. I chose a river safari, a temple visit, and a waterfall trip, and everything was perfectly organized. The host even joined me, explaining and showing different places along the way. His sister prepares amazing meals - you feel like you're dining in a restaurant, but without even leaving the villa. Overall, a fantastic experience!

− For me, this wasn’t an issue, but you should be aware that walking to the beach takes around 25 minutes. It’s better to take a tuk-tuk or ask the host - he’s always willing to give a ride or pick you up. It would also be great to have a small stovetop in the kitchen for those who want to cook their own meals.

Best homestay to live in Bentota

We liked everything. Room was clean and tidy as shown in pics. Initially had booked this stay for one night but we extended our stay for one more night as we liked the home stay. We are pure vegiterian and it was very difficult for us to find veg restaurants in srilanka. And finally we got authentic and very tasty veg food in this stay. Owner is very cooperative. This was our bestest stay in our 8 days srilanka trip.

− There was nothing much to dislike. Only thing was room floor is little slippery, kids were slipped.

Lovely room hosted by a lovely family. The room is spacious and comfotable with a quiet a/c. When I first arrived, the wifi wasn't working that well, I mentioned it to the host, and he called Digitel and fixed it in 5 minutes! Then there was a huge storm and the electricity went out, and they were in my room in no time turning on the fuses. No problem was too big for this family! I also loved my breakfasts here-- I have all kinds of food issues-- low carb, no gluten, and the dad happily created healthy and delicious breakfasts for me!

− Not enough time! That beach was so peaceful and beautiful-- I would have liked to stay longer.
