Fantastic stay in a great location
10.0The hosts are wonderful! They cooked us a meal and celebrated the Sri Lanka new year with us. They really go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. We worked online and the wifi worked really well (as long as the power stayed on which is out of their control and the power didnt cut frequently or for long). Also a great location! Far enough off the main road to avoid the noise and you can only hear the train if you're paying attention. The Beach is just a couple of minutes walk away!
− It's a bit loud on Friday night. They provide ear plugs, though, as there's a party just down the block that blares music into the night.

10.0Domáci boli veľmi milí a priateľskí. Celkovo hotel pôsobil čisto, rodinne, útulne .Nachádza sa vo veľmi dobrej polohe. V centre mesta, ale zároveň v bočnej uličke. Ako veľký benefit sme brali každodenné upratovanie a prezliekanie postele. Na ubytovaní bohužiaľ nie je možné si dať si raňajky.,ale ponúknu vám každý deň kávu alebo čaj.Veľmi milé prekvapenie bolo, keď nám domáci ponúkol,že nám spraví raňajky. To sa nám veľmi páčilo a veľmi nám chutilo,urobil to sám a od srdca.Rovnako vám pomôžu vybaviť aj transfer na ďalšie miesto.Dalsi benefit je aj plne vybavená spoločná kuchyňa a na streche hotela gril s posedením s výhľadom na more.
− Všetko bolo za nás v poriadku. Možno by som povedal, že v blízkosti sa nachádza železnica. To je ale problém mesta, keďže ide kolajnica stredom mesta. Tento problém sme mali aj na inom ubytovaní v meste. Tiež piatok v noci hrala hudba v neďalekých podnikoch. To samozrejme nie je problém ubytovania, skôr je to daň za ubytovanie v centre.

10.0Vriendelijk en warm welkom, schone en ruime kamer, locatie was goed, geen last van de trein die bijna door je kamer rijdt 😃. Susan, Tushare en (smiling) Sunny boy allemaal willen ze je het naar je zin maken, zonder opdringerig te zijn. Erg fijn verblijf gehad!
− Waterdruk van de douche mag iets hoger.

10.0Alva’s House is best place to stay in Hikkaduwa. It’s minutes from the beach, delicious food and shopping. The hosts are lovely and welcoming and they have the most wonderful cats and dogs, especially that orange cat! I refuse to say anywhere but Alva’s House!
