Le paysage est à couper le souffle! C’est d’ailleurs une des raisons principales de notre nuit à kintamani et plus particulièrement dans cet établissement et aussi pour faire le trek en 4x4 vers le Mont Bâtur . Jeune garçon qui travaillait là était super sympathique !

− Les mouches! Elles rentrent dans votre chambre et vous empêchent littéralement de faire une sieste après votre trekking. On avait réserver deux nuits finalement nous sommes restés qu’une seule. Il n’y a rien à faire autour de l’hôtel car situé tout en haut d’une colline , pas de magasin, pas de grab , rien nada , welo ! Je n’ai pas aimé la nourriture que proposait l’établissement. Les frites avaient le goût de l’huile de coco , à peine 15 frittes dans les assiettes. Pas de café non plus sur place , mise appart du café en sachet ! Les prises dans la chambre , il y’en avait que deux , le frigo pas branché non plus .

The included breakfast was lovely, very filling. I had the best eggs I have eaten in Bali here. We also had our dinners at the hotel, and they were great too. The staff were super friendly and couldn’t do more than enough to help out. Their English was great and were always up for a chat without being overbearing. The pool and the little hot spring pool outside the room were a nice touch. We used the hot spring pool each morning and evening. They refill the water twice a day so it’s still lovely and hot. The water is then reused for irrigation of the nearby farms. The view was spectacular, so relaxing. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. Prefect pressure. The hotel organised a guide for the Mt. Batur walk. He was also great, had really good English and was very knowledgeable. Walking from the hotel wasn’t too far, it took us just over an hour and a half to get to the top. Getting a scooter or AV part way looked like a waste of money, not to mention a noisy way to start and end your walk, also not great environmentally in regards to the degradation of the well used track. The convenience of taking an AV or scooter part way, also means that once you get to the top, there are hundreds of others there. Not quite the romantic picture posted in any advertising you see. This was actually the case 28 years ago when we last did this hike, we were only part of a handful of people at the top.

− As most people have mentioned already, the road to this and other nearby accommodations is pretty atrocious, which is not the fault of the owners. We drove a hire car and it was a white knuckled drive. As far as the property itself goes, the only thing I could fault is that there could be better signage to the property and once you actually get to the property. Google maps had us turn into a different accommodation and streets and due to the narrow steep road it was really tricky for us to safely get there without potentially damaging the hire car.
