10.0Le jardin et le calme. Super acceuil
Amazing immersive experience living in nature with amazing human beings and great music. A gift!
9.0We loved the place and the people who run it. The most welcoming staff who treat you incredibly well. We consider them friends no Staff It was our first stop in Senegal and we loved the experience of getting to know Sengalese people, their culture and their incredible music. The are lots of musicians working there. You can access Percussion and African dance lessons on site. They are fun and flexible. Staff plays music in the evening. We felt included and loved the experience. They also offer local day excursions which are absolutely worth it. If you are into Senegalese music this is an immersive experience which you will not forget. I am not a musician and I loved it. My son is a percussionist and he truly enjoyed it and learnt lots form his teacher Bouba and from being included in the staff's evening musical soirees.
− We loved everything. Just for other guests to note that Kansala is walking distance to the beach but as we went off season there was no facilities at all on the beach. Also the town is a a half hour walk or 10 minute taxi ride. Interesting walk in nature. Very few eating facilities in the area. Kansala offers three meals a day. Simple but delicious and nutritious. Large portions. Rooms are basic with mosquito net and a fan. Wifi in main building. Beautiful garden NO CARD/CASH MACHINE IN THE 50 KM AREA. Bring all the cash you can either in Euros or better in local currency CFA. Local exchange rate is not very beneficial
Friendly staff but very basic and not too clean place
3.0Very friendly staff. Beach is 10 minutes walking distance and rather clean at that stretch which is rare in Senegal (Most beaches from north to south we saw were plastic rubbish dumps whereever people live nearby)
− Room was very basic and in no relation to the price. It should cost half the price for what you get. Also not too clean. The same is true for the area where they served the food (which was decent). The whole place is somehow run down and very remote. 25 minutes walking to the village .
Bamba is the best host ever!He will not only make you feel at home, help you with any kind of info but also tell you the
10.0Atmosphere, typical mandinka houses, good water pressure, good meals, waking up with birds chants:)
A piece of paradise
10.0Bamba and his crew have managed to create a piece of paradise on earth. Not only the place is really beautiful, with plenty of trees, vegetation and birds, very well and carefully conserved; and the bungalows comfortable, clean and spacious; and the food extremely good...not only that. The magic of this place resides in the human atmosphere that they have created, something not easy to find elsewhere. Very important to note: they organize intensive music and dancing camps, aside of amazing (and affordable) visits to local villages, mangrooves, etc...just ask them! If you manage to make it here, you are a lucky traveller.
