Relaxing scenery to quiet your thoughts!
9.0Absolutely amazing! Loved the scenery. It was quite rainy while we were there so enjoyed warming up by the fire while looking out onto the lake. Enjoyed the walk down to the waterfall when the rain let up. Loved it there!
− Honestly the only problem was the microwave! Either we are real idiots or we needed instructions for how to use it!😂
Rustic, basic cabin in a lovely area
7.0The location is stunning, so much to love in the area. Loved the restaurant at the bottom of the lake (privately owned). The enclosed patio is nice but there are no cushions on the chairs. We brought some in from the couch inside.
− The bathroom can use some attention. Mildew in the shower and basin. The toilet moves when you sit on it, and the floor is very noisy. Electricity went off twice whilst there, once the whole night. Perhaps an inverter could make a difference? The cabin is rustic.
A tranquil escape
6.0Nice and tranquil location and atmosphere. Very isolated and quite peaceful. Nice view of the lake from the honeymoon cabin. Fresh air, forestry trees and shrubbery. Overall a beautiful location. The honeymoon cabin has a fireplace inside the room - making it ideal for cosying up in colder weather. It also has a closed off porch with leisure chairs to admire the lake and surroundings, a kitchenette with a stove and oven, a small gas stove in case of electricity issues, a bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchenette is equipped with most necessary essentials. There is wood, charcoal, and firelighters with matches available (for a fee).
− The bathroom floor creaks and is uneven - seemingly due to water damage, which rocks the toilet to one side when sitting on it. The oven is a bit wonky to get working correctly, a gas stove would be great with the uncertainty of electricity outages, but the mini gas stove works in an emergency. The wood was wet due to the weather, so starting the fireplace was a bit of a struggle. The wood and firelighters come at a cost. All the lightbulbs are cold white, giving a sense of hospital rather than a cosy cabin.
