Fantastic home from home in the woods

− They should do an idiot guide for the cooker and hob.
Great lodge in great location
9.0Loved the lodge and the location. The lodge was beautifully finished with almost everything you might need.
− We stayed during particularly hot weather and the lodge was like an oven. It would have been great to have some fans as the temp inside reached 32c at one point. There was a fire nearby during our stay so opening the windows was not an option as when we did, the smell of smoke was overbearing. The owners can’t help the heat and the fire but maybe they may consider a fan per bedroom.
On the whole we had great time
6.0modern and comfortable peaceful although I think it wouldn’t be so peaceful if the site was full, having said we had a really lovely stay and enjoyed Whitby and the surroundings would like to come again in the future.
− There were a few issues. The en suite shower door was very stiff, no tea towels or pan scrubbers. Would have appreciated a proper welcome pack for the price we paid for a weekend not a few sachets of coffee tea and milk.

9.0Peaceful location surrounded by woodland. The lodge was very clean and comfortable with a lovely outside space with comfortable chairs and cushions.
− I thought that check in after 4pm and check out by 10.00am was a little too severe.
Nice clean lodge but more kitchenware is needed.
6.0− Poorly equipped. Not enough pans. No cookware for the microwave. Not enough wine glasses or tumblers.
