Paradise in beautiful Shropshire
10.0My daughter and I fell in love with Charlie's Cottage as soon as we opened the door & wished we had booked for longer. Everything about the cottage is perfect, it is reminiscent of days gone by but with every modern facility and comfort. We didn't want to cook during our stay but for those who do there is a fully equipped kitchen containing every possible device and utensil. Thoughtful touches included too, such as milk, coffee, tea and sugar, oil and condiments. Upstairs the two bedrooms contain blissfully comfortable beds and the bathroom is large with a wonderful shower in a large walk-in shower cubicle with toiletries provided. A note about the stairs, yes they are a little difficult to negotiate for anyone with mobility problems (I would guess they are original) but all I can say is, I am 85 and walk with a stick and found them reasonably easy to use. The WiFi worked well and was reliable. Outside there is a cute courtyard garden with table and chairs. The whole cottage is spotlessly clean and very quiet. Honestly, when staying in Charlie's Cottage you only need bring clothes as absolutely everything else has been thoughtfully provided. The cottage is very convenient for supermarkets, the station and bus stops and a walk up Corve Street will bring you to the centre of lovely Ludlow.

Excellent in every way
10.0Full of character and total warmth and comfort. Great host communication throughout. We loved the location for walking in to town and couldn't fault anything. The shower was great and the bedding exceptionally cosy. A real treat.
