Lovley cosy cottage in beautiful surroundings.
7.0Full of character. Well equipped kitchen and lovely master bedroom.
− We should have fully read the description as the downstairs bathroom back up some steps not ideal for my elderly mother.
a bit disapointed at how much it cost , description did not quite match

− no balcony dispite this being mentioned in the description had to pay for parking - this should be mentioned along with how much it costs one of the kitchen chairs was broken so unable to use new recycle bag needed - dispite asking on a number of occassions if it was possiblet to get into the cottage before 4 pm , when we did arrive , we found that it had not been cleaned at all and after a number of phone calls and a bit of tidying up ourselves we finally was able to get into the cottage after 7 pm as they had forgotten to clean the place

10.0We enjoyed our stay at Thornwell Cottage, the cottage was lovely and we particularly loved the garden during the sunny weather.
− No complaints but just a few things we thought you should know..... - The front door knob was damaged on arrival so needs to be repaired or replaced. - The freezer was full of ice lollies that had thawed and re-frozen so it seems it was not cleared properly after the previous guests. - The bread bin was full of crumbs so needed to be washed before use. - the wooden chair in the living room has a split in the seat with potential to result in an accident or injury. I know that sounds like a long list of gripes but as a holiday cottage owner myself I know it's important to have these things identified so they can be addressed.
