10.0Bottom line: If you're looking for a peaceful countryside retreat while exploring the North York Moors National Park, look no further—The Barn at Rigg End is a wonderful place to stay. We stayed here as a family of four - my wife, her parents and I - and it was the perfect accommodation. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The Barn is set in a beautiful, quiet location in the heart of the North York Moors, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. We visited Robin Hood's Bay (45 minutes), Whitby (35 minutes), York (50 minutes), RSPB Bempton cliffs (1 hour), and Helmsley (25 minutes), all within an easy drive. One of our favourite things about the property was the view. Looking out over the rolling green meadows and spotting local wildlife from the house made every morning and evening feel special and incredibly relaxing. The house itself is spacious, comfortable, exceptionally clean, and very well maintained. It has three cozy bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you could need, including a fridge, oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine and a big dining table. There is also convenient private parking right next to the property, making loading and unloading the car effortless. Last but certainly not least, Mike and Shirley are exceptional hosts. They were always quick to answer our questions, happy to help with anything we needed, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend The Barn at Rigg End to anyone looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of the North York Moors.

10.0The Barn at Rigg End is quite simply a sublime place to stay. The property itself is gorgeous with plenty of room and amazing views. Naturally, the kitchen and the terrace sttod out for our company of four nature and food lovers. Our hosts, Mike and Shirley, were fantastic - the best one could wish for, actually. And the location is as good as it gets. All around, we'd give this place 11 points if there were as much to give.
