Kingfisher Nook at Waveney Farm♡

The photos in the advert don't do Kingfisher Nook justice. The property is excellent in all aspects with a superb host who was available, knowledgeable and very friendly. The hot tub (a small extra charge) is a great addition where you can chill of an evening and watch the sun go down. The kitchen is well equipped and was spotless on arrival. The bedroom was a very good size with a nice large comfortable bed - spotlessly clean as well. The shower room/wc is absolutely fine, perfectly provisioned (washing products and toilets rolls etc.) and, once again, very clean. (note: it is on the ground floor so some folk would need to take care if visiting the bathroom during the night.) Finally, the sitting room has a very comfortable chair and settee and a fabulous choice of DVD's and books to entertain yourselves. There are great activities to enjoy during your stay. You can walk to the village and enjoy a free (help yourself) cuppa in the church (donation suggested). You can fish free of charge (EA license required) at the bottom of the property's garden (2 min walk) , a tributary of the River Waveney. Fishing is fun with lots of small silver fish caught and a nice size Chubb (and a follow by a very large pike!!!). There are other villages that are lovely to visit too - especially Eye and Framlingham. And, finally, the location is beautiful !! Sit and relax at one with nature watching and listening to the birds, watching the butterflies, listening to the cows, talking to the chickens (there are 9 residents haha), the hares, the deers - it's all beautiful !!

− There really wasn't anything that we disliked. Maybe that there was no dishwasher, but that is just sheer laziness !!!!!!!

Beautiful cottage, such a tranquil, quiet place. Sitting in the hot tub looking over the meadows. Host Alice was so polite, greeted with a warm welcome and smile. We was treated to brownies on arrival (best brownies ive ever tasted) cottage was spotless, very warm and cosy with the underfloor heating . Was my partners birthday, so she also put up banners! And a little note on the fridge Will definitely be returning!!

It was so cosy and homely, with lots of little touches to make it special for the perfect break away.

− The initial feeling of being on the side of someone’s house did lead us to question the privacy and peace we would have, but it didn’t affect the stay at all. We didn’t hear or see the host outside of checkin but Alice did make clear if we needed her she was on hand.
