Amazing Weekend Away.

All of it. The location. The facilities. The welcome basket. The whole house was amazing.

The only minus the group had was the limited loo roll. But even that's not a problem really. There is a shop next door.

We were a group of friends who enjoy a weekend away together each year. The property suited us very well.

Location-wonderful, layout -characterful, nicely furnished. All in all, great for our needs.

Could’ve done with a toilet on the ground floor. The parking situation can be tricky if you have more than two cars in your party but this can’t be helped. Lacking a few items (large bowls for sharing crisps etc, spatula/fish slice for flipping eggs in non-stick pan). We weren’t aware the hot tub was an extra charge, and feel that extra charge was too much for just a 2 night stay, therefore we decided against using it. There were also toothpaste marks on the floor in the shower room and lots of cobwebs on arrival, so obviously hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly. You would expect more when you are paying a lot for just 2 nights. This sounds like a lot of negatives, but we really did like the place and would definitely return!

Great location, lovely period property that is great for big groups.

Very expensive for what it is. With the price tag, we expected high quality but I would not say the property met that bar unfortunately. We mainly booked the property for the games room and hot tub. The games room was tiny and you couldn’t properly use the pool table as the room was so small. The pool cues had no ends on them, so we’re not really useable. We loved the hot tub but the outdoor lights were completely broken (bulbs clearly full of water) and so we couldn’t use in the evening like we had planned to, which was very disappointing. Also there were cameras inside some of the rooms. There were no signs or information explaining that they were there (or allowing you to consent to their use…) so it felt odd and intrusive. Overall I think this property needs a bit more TLC.

Lovely house, home from home.

A welcome file with information on the house, WiFi, hot water etc would be helpful. Guests can then add recommendations and places visited.
