We loved the country side setting, Louise our host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We also really enjoyed the horses and dog visiting. The hut offered so much privacy and was very well thought out.

Absolutely loved the location and atmosphere, the hot tub was amazing too with great pubs locally.

A wonderful rural getaway with great walks and a hot tub

We liked the rural location. It was lovely to look at trees, fields, and horses. Hucking Estate is nearby with lovely countryside walks and a pub. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and looking up at the stars. The shepherd's hut was surprisingly roomy and we slept well in it.

− It takes a long time to heat up the hot tub (about 3 hours) so it's a good idea to keep a close eye on the wood stove beneath it and keep it topped up with wood.

It was ok, it definitely wasn’t what was described in the post. Hardly any privacy around.

− Firstly agreed to put a little banner up for 30th birthday but had “forgot”, I know people have busy life’s but not very good when agreed. I think the actual location should be described a lot more in detail. It’s actually on someone’s land and we didn’t realise there was another lodge next to us so when we pulled up we was very confused as they was all sat outside. The hot tub faces the actual drive way so when the other people staying come back late at night it was dark so they could see us straight in the hot tub, definitely needs a lot more privacy around it as it felt a little awkward. They had friends staying looking after their horses as much as horses don’t bother us when we come back from a day out and went to relax in the hot tub, they was riding the horses basically next to our head’s. There is not a lot of privacy in the slightest felt like everyone could see what we was doing constantly. We had a power cut and it took the host nearly 6 houses to even reply to my message, thankfully our electric come back on without an hour but what would of happened if it went on until she had replied? For the £££ spent and for being my partners 30th birthday present, I was very disappointed.
