The lack of cleaning was a major issue as nobody wants to do a spring clean on arrival
3.0The location was excellent but did not make up for the cleanliness issues
− Unfortunately the cleanliness was the biggest issue, the kitchen and bathroom were very bad we had to do a thorough clean before we could use either, also the oven had not been cleaned for a long time so the smell was quite acrid until I cleaned it, everything in the cupboards had to be washed before use . The bedding was very stale as if it had not been washed for quite some time
Excellent

Peaceful getaway
10.0Karen is a great host very easy to deal with, location was fantastic just an ideal place for a quiet unwind and getting away from stress of it all.
Lovely location, kitchen well stocked with utensils, clean and welcoming
9.0Location for swimming is perfect. Short walk to pub, cafe in Castle grounds and convenience store
Great location but property needs work
7.0Superb location Karen the owner was helpful. The house had no working wired router and she tried to get an old dongle operational but was unable to. She also provided more dishes and glasses as there weren't enough to cook and serve food. We received a discount for the absence of wifi and resulting inconvenience. I understand from Karen that high speed broadband is being installed soon. Bed was comfortable Fuel was provided for the fire and the central heating was effective
− Four days without wifi, only resolved when we purchased a portable router on day 4. Significant shortage of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Property decor, fittings and furniture were functional but tired and uncoordinated. Property wasn't as clean as we would have expected and it was untidy, with unmade beds upstairs, piles of towels and bed linen on chairs, inappropriate items in kitchen cupboard and supermarket delivery box on kitchen floor with kitchen linen, carrier bags and dirty dish inside.
Superb
9.0Karen was extremely helpful and communicative, reached out before our visit to clarify details.
