9.0I love the little touches on arrival. This time round it was homemade jam and plum gin. Just a minute bottle but oh wow. It was very thoughtful. The weather was better than expected so we managed to get some walking in at Church Stretton and around Ludlow. Everything is so close so if you want to travel by train it takes the stress off the travel - except if something goes wrong with the trains! We had a nice meal at the pub at the top of the road (the church inn I think it's called). Booking might be advisable. We booked when we got back from a long walk at Church Stretton but later in the year it would probably be best to book a table the day before). You must see inside the church as well. You can go up the tower and see quite a way on a good day. It's even taller than the castle. There is a cafe inside and the staff are very knowledgeable about the church and certain depictions in the stained glass window. The Kim Kitchen is really good for food so I definitely would recommend that cafe. We just had breakfast there but the meals are good and we probably would have had lunch but then booking might be advisable. There is a garden at the back but that is more likely to be used with warmer weather
− There are no radiators but they have heaters to make sure you're warm when it's colder.

10.0Its location was so close to everything including the train station. So we could go for a walk in the hills at Church Stretton without using the car.

9.0The cottage was perfect and very cosy. It was so central and there were lots of walks and things to see. Our host was really helpful and really quick to respond to queries. Overall we had a perfect week
