Great large house in fabulous location

Lovely large house in a fabulous location. Downstairs rooms were perfect for entertaining our group of 8 people. Very large, light, bright rooms. We thought the house had all en-suite bedrooms but unfortunately, 3 couples had to share a bathroom, as the light in the top floor bathroom did not work ! We also couldn’t find a dishcloth, tea towel or oven glove - which I think should be provided when paying over £1,200 for 3 days. Views across the market place would have been great from the lounge window if only the huge van wasn’t parked in front of the window for our whole stay.

A nice location but the details and lack of heating seriously let it down.

The location was great and the property is beautiful with modern conveniences.

− We had problems in the cold weather with the heating not working, so we were huddled together under blankets whilst they got someone out to fix it. This isn’t great when you have young children and two 80+ year olds in the party. There is a log fire, but we managed to go through the logs in very little time and there wasn’t any clear guidance on where to get more logs from. On top of that, there were lots of little bits that just weren’t up to the five star reviews we had seen on line. There is also limited parking on site with only one car able to fit in the car port, so you have to leave the car in the car park in the market square. Also, there wasn’t clear guidance on the pricing of the site - this wasn’t Booking.com/s fault, but I would have booked it for longer if someone had told me that it was a relatively small fee for the extra nights.

Spotlessly clean and great facilities in a superb location near to local facilities/eateries which were dog friendly

− Ran out of hot water as the last to go in the shower. My own fault but perhaps boost the hot water if there are 6 adults staying.
