9.0Excellent location for visiting family in Tavistock, Little Jack's had everything we needed and it was great to be able to use the pool. We will definitely be back.
Clean, comfortable and easily accessible to The Moors and coastal areas near Plymouth
9.0The property is a spacious semi detached bungalow which is in very good condition. The kitchen was well equipped and living area comfortable with two double settees and a table and chairs. The furniture was of a high standard. We did have a few issues with the TV but this was due to a poor signal probably caused by heavy rain and wind. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely return if in that area. The bungalow is situated in the grounds of Honicombe Manor which is a small holiday park with an independently run pub and restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor pools but we did not use them so cannot comment further. Was a 15 minute drive from Tavistock and 40 minutes from Plymouth. Plymouth like most cities have high charging car parks so used the park and ride from the football ground where you can stay all day free of charge and use the frequent buses.
− Not a big issue but the parking is tight around the actual properties. There are designated parking areas no more than 50 metres from the bungalow.

8.0Lovely bungalow. Suited our needs well, visiting family locally. A few minor queries during our stay, owner communications very good.
− One of the bedroom heaters was faulty but there was a mobile spare so no problem. Getting the TV to come on was a bit of a challenge but got there in the end.
Lovely countryside base to explore south Cornwall and Devon from! Would stay again!
8.0Lovely little property! Clean and tidy, nicely tiled floor throughout kitchen/ dining area! A little home from home, with nice outdoor area to sit and enjoy the sunshine! Onsite pool was great to have close by and the pub too!
− Nothing to dislike about this property!
Generally OK, but with some annoying problems. TLC needed to bring up to the standard it deserves
6.0The property was pleasant enough, with good-sized bedrooms, comfortable beds, settees etc., and a nice outlook. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped (except for lack of a baking sheet for the oven) and the property was mostly clean and tidy. It's also a good base for exploring Devon and Cornwall.
− We had various issues as follows: 1. The property is marked as 'accessible' but the walk up the steep hill from the nearest car parking spaces is difficult and potentially dangerous for people like me, who use a walking stick. I have limited mobility and my daughter's partner is on crutches, so it was a bit of a nightmare for both of us. Also, the entrance ramps aren't wide enough for most wheelchairs and I actually found the ramp difficult, especially once it had rained. 2. The hot water wasn't working for the first 24-hrs, so we had lukewarm/cold showers etc. It hadn't been switched on at the control panel and we had to find that out for ourselves. There was no indication that we had to do that. 3. There was no safety mat in the bathroom and we had to use the floor mat instead. We did ask housekeeping for a mat & it was promised for the next morning, but never arrived. 4. Small hand towels would have been useful, as well as the big bath ones provided. 5. The TV is very confusing to use and grey remote control needs replacing. We tried changing the batteries, but the right-hand side seems to have stopped working. 6. The gutters outside the front door area need clearing - we had some rain during our stay and were greeted with large streams of water from the gutters as we walked out the door. Also made the ramp and general front area very slippery and dangerous. 7. The booklet of guest information is out of date and appears to have been put together in 2020/21. It needs to be updated and to give better instructions for who to contact in case of any problems 8. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the lamp in the lounge wasn't working and we discovered that the lead had been chewed in two places, presumably by a pet or similar, The wire fell apart when my husband picked it up and tried to switch the lamp on initially.
