Well maintained, clean and had everything you need for a perfect break. Any problems we had was solved immediately. The owners left us a congratulations card and a bottle of wine for our honeymoon. The estate was maintained well with lots of places to explore. The walks around the estate was breath taking with all the wild life and old buildings. The history of the Carmichael clan was fascinating, visitors centre has lots of information about the estate. The family was very helpful Recommending places to visit and eat with out puppy. Excellent place to stay when visiting scotland.

Would have been nice to have an area to sit outside the house to enjoy the wild life. However, we used a blanket on the grass area at the front of the property which was fine.

Wonderful location, a long way from a road. Lovely cottage with everything we needed and plenty of space. Having deer and rabbits as neighbours was just great.

Nothing really. Older men should know that the bathroom is downstairs for the night time loo stops

Location was beautiful and ideally situated for trips to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling

Was a little cold but that was due to weather

Very pleasant, and the 'scruffiness' of the estate added to its charm.

The 200 year old charm of the cottage, well updated and fitted out without spoiling the character of the property. The ruined Manor House and other buildings were fascinating. The farm shop was good and the 'host' in the farm shop was friendly and informative. Interesting history of the Clan Carmichael. Nice on site restaurant. Great to meet some members of the USA branch of Clan Carmichael.

Deep potholes on the estate roads threatened our car suspension! The Visitor's Centre could do with some money spent on it to provide more 'kerb appeal' (to borrow an expression used by estate agents).
