Our Stay at Patrico in Crete We spent two amazing weeks at Patrico! The place has just been renovated, so it was a little different from the pictures on booking, but in a good way! The house is super well-equipped. You can easily find everything you need, from kitchen appliances to whatever else you can think of. It was also a really nice touch that there was a welcome pack in the fridge with some fruit and basics for sandwiches. That was a big plus. Plenty of Space and Great Service Even though we were just four, the house could easily fit six people. It has three bedrooms: two upstairs (one big, and another smaller one with a double bed, probably 140x200cm) and a third one downstairs. The beds were a good size, with the bigger ones looking like they were 160x200cm. The kitchen has a huge table, and there’s an extremely comfortable and nice outdoor space to sit. What made it even better for us was the second bathroom in the garden. It was so convenient, especially with a group. It even has a shower to wash off the sand from the beach. There’s no hot water, but the sun heats it up nicely, so it’s not a problem at all. During our two-week stay, we also had cleaning done three times, and the gardener came to maintain the area. This was a fantastic service that made our stay even more comfortable. A Great Location and Even Better Hospitality The location is really perfect. You can drive to either Heraklion or Chania in about 1 to 1.5 hours, and it’s close to the beaches on both the north and south sides of the island. Parking was no issue either; we could easily park our car on the street right in front of the house. We were also lucky to meet the owner. They were so welcoming and even showed us their private wine cellar. They were kind enough to give us some of their wine and raki straight from the barrel. It was an awesome and very special experience.

− A small suggestion for future guests: a firmer mattress in the larger bedroom upstairs would make the stay even more comfortable
