Beautiful 19th century fort in a privileged location, and incredible views of the Mani peninsula. Our stay was amazing, the place incredibly clean and comfortable, with a gorgeous patio downstairs, and Vasso was a great host too. Many thanks, Vasso, for having us and we hope to come back one day! We 100% recommend, you will love staying here.

Great place to relax and enjoy the "real" Mani. You get to stay in a traditional maniot fort, built in the 19th century, which has been thoughtfully renovated to preserve its history. The view from the property is very beautiful: blue sea and wild coast line punctuated by other castles and forts. The location is also great. You're no more than 40-50 minutes away from any place in Mani, which makes it a perfect home base to explore the peninsula. At the same time, the fort is built on top of a hill surrounded by nature and silence, so you can also relax and disconnect. Lastly, the host, Vasso, is the embodiment of Greek hospitality. She will make you fell welcome from the moment you arrive. Overall, a very special place I would recommend to everyone!

Our stay at castle Charabos was unforgettable — the location is perfect, peaceful, and offers stunning panoramic views. Great experience in scenic castle.

Great room in a 1800s built stone castle. Close to the south of Mani peninsula, where most of beaches are located, as well as a number of picturesque villages.

− Bathroom was a bit small, but it's manageable.

I would rate 11 if I could! The property is amazing, located in a beautiful and quiet area of a small village called Stavri. The owners, Vasso & Michalis made us feel like home! The hospitality was fantastic. Highly recommended for both couples and families. Don't miss it! Looking forward to the next time I visit Mani!
