Unsuitable for very young children in hot weather
1.0Site was lovely - has potential to be much better including customer service. Considering it’s repeated how much of a “family business” they are not very family orientated/ empathetic.
− We stayed here for one night of a three-night booking during the June 2026 heatwave and unfortunately had to leave early due to the conditions inside the pod. The pod retained an extreme amount of heat and was significantly hotter inside than outside, food melted (including food in the fridge) reaching temperatures that felt unbearable during the day. We were travelling with our one-year-old daughter, and despite a fan being provided, we were unable to cool the pod to a comfortable temperature. Our daughter became distressed and was visibly overheating, so we made the difficult decision to leave early rather than risk a further night. To be clear, we did not leave simply because of the hot weather. We left because the accommodation itself became unsuitable for our young child in those conditions. At the time, staff and the owner appeared understanding of our concerns, and an alternative stay was offered. However, we were never contacted to arrange this as promised. When we later requested a partial refund equivalent to one night’s accommodation (despite forfeiting two), this was refused in quite an unreasonable manner. The site itself is in a lovely location and may be perfectly suitable for couples or families with older children. However, based on our experience, we would not recommend the pods for families with babies or very young children during periods of hot weather unless additional cooling measures are available. We were disappointed by how our concerns were ultimately handled and feel a more sympathetic and reasonable resolution could have been reached. We would not return in future nor would we recommend to our friends and family in future.

− Didn’t find the bed comfortable (personal preference). Awoken early due to the sky light not having blinds (would bring an eye mask next time)
