Brilliant, spacious and flexible home, had everything we needed at such a difficult time
10.0Due to very helpful lockbox entry, we were able to stop by the hospital on our way to the house as we flew in fairly late. When we got to the house, entry was straightforward due to nice clear instructions. So lovely to find bread etc to have a late night tea and toast after such a long day, we really loved that! Me, my brother and aunty all had our own rooms (and toilet!) so we could all have private space as well as coming together for meals and plenty of discussions at the lovely kitchen table! Alan even accommodated the extra bedding etc when another uncle arrived for one night, he couldn’t have been more helpful, which we appreciated so much. Also, my aunty is older with mobility issues and being on one floor, she could navigate eveywhere easily which was a great relief. Although our stay was due to my dads funeral, at such a sad time it was such a relief to find such a comfortable, spacious and warm house to be together and be able to cook, eat and talk together, but having our own space when needed. We could even wash and dry our clothes which was great on such an extended stay. There was so much space outside as well for parking etc. I bet this is lovely in summertime, because it was a wee haven when we were there in October . All the best to Alan and Denise who were the perfect hosts at such a difficult time!

Would not recommend for anyone to stay

− Very basic facilities, minimal internet, despite booking ‘entire home’ a bedroom was locked; attempts to communicate with owners was met with being felt very unwelcome and deposit automatically taken for damages not deliberately caused but due to disrepair of home
