Amazing experience living a very traditional Japanese home. The facilities in this home were fantastic (especially the massage chair). Just be careful with Google maps as it is not very clear in the map, so when you are looking for this place, just try and reach the huge Ferris wheel in Shin Fuji, this home is barely 50 metres from there (right across the road)

The old meets the new.

What an interesting and bizarre little place this is. This is where the old meets the new. The very lovely and friendly owner met us on arrival and proceeded to run us through things to know for our 1 night stay. This took some time. Lovely old place with plenty of history. But also with a massage chair and a Jacuzzi/spa bath. We had our own car but finding it and navigating the expressway entries and exits around it was an experience. You can actually see Mount Fuji from the kitchen window. Yes the kitchen window!. This place has a kitchen as well. Very handy if you would like to cook up some stuff from the 7 Eleven convenience store just across the road under the Ferris Wheel. Yes that right. The Ferris Wheel. As I say this is the bizarre place where old meets new.

− Pillows!! Hopefully these will be replaced by a couple of new comfortable ones sooner than later.

This stay was one of the highlights of our trip!! The owner welcomed us very kindly and replied quickly when needed. The house itself was amazing; old, but beautiful, new and modern at the same time. All appliances were new.. the big jacuzzi with view on Fuji making us feel like we stayed at a 5star hotel. I almost would not share this experience with anyone else so I can keep this house a secret for our next trip.. it was THIS good!!
