Thoroughly Enjoyable
8.0It was very nice the decor was good and roomy
− I didn’t take a tea towel for once but there wasn’t one I would have liked a handrail at the top of the three stairs as I am 78 and don’t like to hang on to the wall I did have a bit of an issue with the towels the booking went to two people instead of five so only two bath towels. Luckily my son came later and brought some but I think it should say there are no hot tub towels or tea towels

9.0Really lovely location, house was great with everything we could need. Host was very quick to resolve the small issue with the beeping smoke detector, which was great.
− Only small negative was the chairs/sofa in the lounge and high wall mounted TV made it not very comfortable to watch a film in the evenings

10.0Loved the decor
Family get together at a quirky house in Amble with some issues however, didn’t spoil our stay
6.0The house itself is decorated really well and is very quirky. The host was easily accessible via messages as we had an issue with the hot tub. Walking distance to main part of Amble. We did have some issues which could be easily rectified. We enjoyed our stay but the house could have been cleaner.
− The hot tub jets after we managed to get it to work weren't very powerful and the hot tub cools down really quick when you are in it. When we arrived it was only on 35, we had to wait till the next morning to use it. We had missing wine glasses and champagne flutes, there were 6 of us and expected to have 6 glasses. There were some chipped plates and a chipped bowl. The oven door glass was loose on the inside. We were wary using the oven incase it fell off. We couldn’t turn the heating off so downstairs was so really hot. The radiator in the bedroom near the bathroom did not get hot and the upstairs was really cold. One of the bedrooms had damp on the ceiling so the paint was peeling off. There was a lot of dust and I mean a lot throughout the house and the cobwebs looked like they had been there for a long time. They were hanging down in the dining room and the bedrooms, behind the beds the dust on the skirting boards was terrible. We ended up dusting the lights downstairs and cleaning the surfaces where we could see the dust to remove the cobwebs There were also a lot of ants downstairs. We were not sure where they were coming from. The shower head in the bathroom had lots of limescale.
