The outdoor shower and the proximity to the beach.

− Dirty kitchen dishes, plastic glasses, moldy kitchen curtains. No guarantee without a dishwasher or even a dishpan to wash dishes in that the last person did anything but rinse them…the pans were put back in the cabinet with dirty, greasy lids. The sheets smelled like they hadn’t been changed from previous guests in both bedrooms. And our washing them the next day didn’t completely freshen them. The pillows were old and smelled like sweaty, smelly men heads, others musty moldy. One pillow had a protective plastic cover on it that was like trying to sleep on a plastic bubble. Insufficient towels, one set per guest, and they smelled funky musty from being left in the washer overnite or something? No oxygen bleach available at Safeway to sanitize the “colored”towels either. We had to wash our towels after every shower - there was no other way to have dry towels when we didn’t have extras. Stained mattress pad - gross! Polyester sheets and comforter that are colored to hide stains and don’t breathe and are very uncomfortable in hot, humid weather without air conditioning. Blinds were all filthy and rusted. The second bedroom had about a 3” spider on the screen and several cocoon things hanging down - rather scary when you need the ventilation. There were no headboards on the beds. And when the person in the second bedroom wanted to sit in bed and read the window sill and blind hit her in the back of the head! The living room furniture is very uncomfortable to sit on. The cushions don’t fit properly and are not tied to the frames and slide forward constantly. The remote for the weird kitchen cabinet lights and old whole house fan worked intermittently. The battery label was peeling and the cover was lost. We were constantly rolling it around cleaning contacts, trying to make the thing work. We spent one unpleasant night with the very loud whole house fan on when the remote refused to function.

Lovely location with the ocean so close. The home has all the challenges of the ocean environment, but it’s well maintained and has a good feeling to it. I hope to be able to come again some day.

What a wonderful vacation in a perfect location. Our family enjoyed every moment!

Our house was comfortable and so close to the ocean breeze and sounds of crashing waves. So wonderful to sit on the porch and relax.
