10.0Bei unserer 3wöchigen England-Rundreise war das mit Abstand das beste Quartier. Hier hat nicht nur einfach alles gepasst sondern es war wirklich passend bis auf den Punkt. Die Beschreibung und die Bilder bei Booking stellten das Cottage dar, wie es ist. Dazu war alles absolut sauber. Und zum Schluss wurden wir von Janet und Luc wärmstens empfangen und hatten bei Fragen immer einen Ansprechpartner. Aber um nicht nur allgemein zu loben, hier mal die Punkte im Detail: Lage: Wir hatten uns Truro bewusst ausgesucht. Ab hier hat man mit maximal einer Autostunde jedes Ziel im Cornwall erreicht. Besser geht es nicht. Ihr könnt von hier aus Cornwall erkunden (Geschichte, Sehenswürdigkeiten, Natur und Tiere [Robben, Vögel etc.]). Das Cottage liegt abseits vor Truro im Grünen. Er herrliche Ruhe, wo man auch die Vorzüge der Sonnenterasse nutzen kann. Pubs gibt es in beiden Richtungen und die sind 1,5 bis 2 mi entfernt. Im Urlaub ist das ein schöner Abendspaziergang. Das Cottage: klein - fein - liebevoll und auch sehr praktisch eingerichtet - sowie sehr sehr sauber Man hat hier alles was man braucht, um einen schönen Abend zu verbringen oder mal Essen oder Wäsche zu machen. Es ist dafür alles vorhanden. Die Gastgeber: Janet und Luc haben uns wärmstens empfangen. Einerseits haben sie uns am Zaun begrüßt und uns die wichtigsten Punkte in Kurzform mitgeteilt. Die Überraschung war dann im Cottage - ein handgeschriebene Karte an uns, wo wir herzlich begrüßt wurden. Weiterhin waren selbstgebackene Scones mit Clotted Cream und Marmelade für uns schon bereitgestellt wurden. Eine liebevolle Geste, die wir noch nie erlebt haben. Bei der Beurteilung der Gastgeber konnte ich nur zwischen 4 Smileys wählen - aber hier wäre ein Herzchen angebracht 😉🥰
− zu meckern gibt es nichts. Vielmehr ein paar Hinweise (vor allem an die Gäste mit Linkslenker-Fahrzeugen). Ihr seid hier in England. Da sind die Straßen etwas schmaler und man muss das Auto auch mal etwas näher am Haus oder Zaun parken. Also beachtet das, wenn ihr anreist oder wenn ihr größere Fahrzeuge habt.
