The surfaces were clean; fire pit and soccer game were an attraction for our 3 grandchildren but these attractions didn’t make up for the following shortcomings.

− No doubt the owner is aware of the following issues. Dishwasher broken and its filter disgustingly dirty and it was far too small to be very useful; air con in 2 bedrooms didn’t work (house was freezing on arrival and took many hours to get comfortable temperature) and non working appliances didn’t help; no additional garbage bags for kitchen tidy); inadequate amount of cutlery; one bed facing the view was saggy. The photo of the house on bookings was misleading (from better days) and the view was misrepresented/misleading, only apparent if you stood on chair at end of long uneven lawn. The kitchen chairs were unstable and one of the dining chairs was wobbly and unsafe.

Lovely location, spacious property

We found the property quite spacious, with clean bathrooms, floors and linen on arrival. Location was fantastic with an amazing look-out to The Three Sisters at the end of the street. Lovely quiet spot with a spacious lounge to relax and seat many which is quite rare. Inside heating was sufficient including electric blankets. Huge backyard for activities with some bonus friendly backyard magpies would also come to visit and eat food from our hand. Firepit available for use but need to purchase your own wood.

− It was a little disappointing to arrive and find that the exterior presentation wasn't quite in the same lovely condition as shown in the booking photos. There were also a few maintenance and housekeeping issues, including a slow-draining shower, concerns with the main toilet flushing, and areas of the property that would benefit from a deeper clean and some general upkeep inside and out. The bed style was quite low to the ground and we personally all found the mattresses were uncomfortable. The BBQ was in a state that wasnt fit for use. Old mouldy bags of laundry were stored beneath in the garage and the laundry had a mouldy wet smell. I've addressed these matters directly with the host, as I believe they may not be aware of them. With some attention to these issues, the property has the potential to better reflect the standard portrayed in the listing and provide an even better experience for future guests.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay at Laura. The property was beautifully maintained, peaceful, and offered stunning surroundings that made our stay both relaxing and memorable. Also it was clean and full prepared for staying for even a week for 2 families.

Being a home away from home, saved us from the weather.

We were there for the Easter long weekend, unfortunately the weather didn't agree with our stay, but the house being relatively spacious was a boon. It afforded us to hang out, playing board games and a mini-tournament with the Fuzzball helped make our stay relaxing and engaged. When we had a break in the rain we made the short walk down to Sublime Point and got to appreciate the view from the back bedroom, yard and kitchen. Each bedroom had a double bed as well as air conditioners and electric blankets. The living areas were of a good size, you certainly didn't fell cramped all in all it was a well kept house.

− Like to give a few suggestions, the laundry down stairs had a damp smell about it. We didn't use it but for folks who might be staying a little longer could cause an issue. Airing it out more often along with some damp-rid products or other type of action will not go astray. The kitchen was quite serviceable, though the doors & drawers to need some care given to them.
