Great facilities, friendly owners, good location very homely.

This is a pretty well equipped cottage which warm and comfortable. It is well located in the countryside but near to Ramsay and its facilities. We were there in late February so the wood burner made it homely and cosy in the evenings. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We shall surely come again

may came round the next morning to make sure we had everything ,may had provided some food for our stay which was a lovely touch .And there were new cut flowers on the table .Heating was fantastic .as most days we did not return till late. Excellent.

Just the outside light needs adjusting to come on when the car is reversed at night, just needs re tilting .

Exceptionally clean cottage which met all our needs.

We were there in a heat wave, and bedding was rather too heavy.

Ballacowell cottage a little gem.

10.0

The cottage is situated off the main road & is extremely quiet day & especially at night. The facilities where more than adequate for a group of four sharing, as both rooms have ensuite & separate toilets it makes it less intrusive. The WiFi & T.V reception is very strong & there are boosters in all the rooms to make certain there is no loss of signal. The allocated car port is more than suitable for those wishing to take their own vehicles, but there is a local bus service towards Ramsey, Douglas & Peel, these are hourly & are less than a 3 minute walk from the property. The surrounding area has all the benefits of great walks, as much of the surrounding area sits behind Snaefell mountain, there are alternative flat walks along the old rail way trails, this provides a great stroll for those needing to venture out for a little peace & quiet.

Lovely clean and cosy cottage.

Very clean and cosy cottage. Well equipped and in a good location for getting around the Island. The owner, Maj was very friendly and helpful and provided a welcome pack of wine, biscuits, chocolates, bread, eggs and milk. Both bedrooms had ensuites and the kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable and all rooms cosy and very comfortable. The heating was nice and warm for the cooler Manx weather! I would definitely stay here again.

In almost all the cottages I've stayed in, I generally find knives are a bit blunt and frying pans have been badly used by previous guests, so these could be sharpened / updated; but as I often cook I have that beef about almost all the places we stay. Getting onto the busy road is a bit difficult as traffic on the main road is difficult to see - a mirror opposite the driveway might be helpful. Apart from these small issues, the cottage was brilliant!
