A gem in Yoichi. Quiet, beautiful and the kindest hosts.
10.0What an incredible spot. The hosts are next level hospitable and communicated with me ahead of time and throughout our stay via Booking.com. We were picked up from the JR train station, and they made us reservation for that evening at a small kaiseki spot and drove us to dinner and asked the chef call us a taxi when we were finished. 6 seats, the chef and the server. It was probably our most memorable meal of the trip. The room is very comfortable and spacious. The hosts prepare you a delicious Japanese style breakfast each morning. The bathroom and bathtub is like having your own private onsen with a spectacular view.
− The most difficult part about it is transportation. While the hosts were very accommodating, unless we had worked out specific times that we needed a ride beforehand, we felt bad imposing for them off the cuff. It is walking distance to town, but you have to leave plenty of time, since it’s up on a hill and in the winter the walk can be very icy. There are no cabs to pick you up from the house, but if you are in town you can find a cab at the JR train station to take you home pretty easily.
