Brixham harbour
10.0Absolutely fantastic apartment looking over the harbour. Clean and tidy and ideally placed to enjoy fabulous views of Brixham harbour. Another useful piece of information is getting a Ringo parking permit for 4 or 8 days which will cover you in all council carparks from Torquay,Paignton and Brixham. Long stay carpark is unrestricted and a 10 minute walk where as the short stay carparks you can only park for the maximum time at the carpark. Ringo 15846 is the permit code and will give options for 4 or 8 day permit.
− If i was to be picky then the steep,narrow steps down/up to/from the apartment are a little precarious if your not too good on your feet. But that's all mentioned in the notes and it's a harbour town so no gripe there.
Had a lovely time but access is not good.

− Access was difficult. Very steep narrow brick steps to squeeze down. No car access and difficult to find.

7.0I have fallen in love with Brixham! Lovely town, lots of independent shops, plenty of restaurants and pubs, welcoming families. The locals are friendly and eccentric! Saw a few pirates when out and about! We had a lovely welcome gift on arrival. The property was lovely and clean and nicely presented.
− The property needs money spent to fix the issues we encountered. Be cautious when staying with children. Not suitable if you struggle with mobility.

− To many steps and on a hill. I’m disabled with a prosthetic leg. My fault as I don’t do enough research.

Pets can be accommodated for an additional fee of GBP £35 per pet per stay. Please inform Saltwater Escapes in advance if you will be bringing any dogs.
Higher Street is very narrow and it is not possible to drive down the lane as far as where the gate to access the property is. It is possible to drive to within about 75 yards of the property where you can then unload on arrival before then parking up. There is no parking on Higher Street but free on street parking is available on neighboring residential roads or alternatively Saltwater Escapes can arrange a parking permit for your stay which covers you for over 30 car parks in the area. Charges apply.
There are 20 steps that lead from the gate down to the entrance door of the property therefore High Hopes would not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties or unsupervised children. Please contact us with any questions regarding access. This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties.
