Superb
9.0Location and house were lovely
− A hair dryer and basic toiletries such as soap and shampoo would have been appreciated
Clean and spacious house, but is also creaky and uncomfortable.
6.0The cosmetics of the house are lovely. There's big patio doors at the back that practically cover the whole wall into the garden, and it feels fresh, bright and clean. Loved how quiet the street was.
− Functionally, the house and furniture need a lot of attention. It's clearly been recently "face-lifted" without any consideration to who will be visiting or how the house may be used. Examples: the majority of floorboards creak excessively (we had a toddler and child with us); the beds are extremely cheap and uncomfortable (metal frames creak when you move); there is the bear minimum of kitchen utensils and no knife sharpener; the dining chairs will fall apart soon; the sofa is so old you almost fall through it; the wifi is too slow to use; the TV is extremely old so we couldn't connect any tech to it to watch a movie. I know this sounds like a massive moan, but when you spend a large sum of money on a holiday, there are certain comforts you would expect. Like I said above, the house looks lovely and feels extremely open (although that's probably because there isn't much surface space to put things on!).
Great break which had been a long time coming. Lovely home with all the necessary facilities.
9.0Self-catering home from home. Easy access to Brixham on foot and not far from other beaches and locations which were within a few minutes drive. The outdoor space was a plus for the children and we enjoyed the availabilility of a bar-b-que on site. Our little Princess did not want to leave so there were a few tears!!!!!
On the whole we had a nice time in Brixham and will definitely come back to Devon soon.
7.0House had everything you needed. Was light and airy and clean. Angus was happy for us to have an extra hour to get everything ready on the day of departure which was a great help.
− The location was further away from town than we had hoped. Not walking distance with a 4 year old. Parking was not always easy with two cars. Driveway appeared bigger in the photos. Worst part were the beds. Mattresses were uncomfortable - could feel springs especially on the side of king size mattress.
Great house central to loads of great things to do
8.0Lovely sized house, comfy beds, lovely open plan living and a short walk down the hill to Brixham. Great local contact as well.
− The kitchen just needed a few more bits and a new frying pan but great apart from that
Disappointing due to the mattress in the double rooms
4.0nice and clean. good location
− Mattresses on all beds very uncomfortable, we had aching backs by the end of the four nights.not good when you go away for a relaxing break!! it was mentioned in the comments book, so why dont you change them?! its not like they are expensive considering the price of the accommodation. so we wont be going back or recommending this accommodation to anyone.
This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.
