So, location ? PERFECT ! The roof terrasse made my week in Madeira, I LOVED IT ! That village is beautiful, the price was PERFECT too, it was a very cheap accommodation in the north of Madeira with a SPECTACULAR view AND a parking. Never underestimate parking in Madeira.

− NOW, you'll notice on the picture, there's a tent on the roof. SO, this is where the problems start. The accommodation was EXCEPTIONNALY clean. I even texted the owner about it. The thing is.... it had also been sprayed down with insecticide. A lot of it. Enough that we found dying cockroaches in the house. And, I understand, this is Madeira, it's an old house, there are cockroaches. Honestly, I didn't mind the insect that much. I minded the sheer volume of insecticide. I was already sick. And I have asthma. As soon as I got into the house, in the lapse of 30 minutes, my airways were on fire. I slept in the house the first night, and didn't go back inside the house after. The cupboards smelled like insecticide, everything. We found the insecticide on the fridge. I understand honestly. But... this house was completely unbreathable for me. So I got my tent out (thank god I had it) and slept on the roof for the remainder of my stay and avoided going back in as much as possible. The house was big, spacious, beautiful. The terrasse was honestly the best. I think this would have been our best accommodation ever if it hadn't been for the insecticide.

Moc se nám líbila lokalita mimo turistickou oblast, bydleli jsme v domě uprostřed sídla místních obyvatel a severní strana ostrova se nám líbila víc než jižní, kde jsem byli ubytováni vloni, kvůli nižší koncentraci turistů.

− Ubytování bylo moc hezké, prostorný dům, čistě uklizený a krásná zahrada, nejedná se o žádný luxus, ale ten na dovolené nevyhledávám. V kuchyni jsme postrádali více vybavení, například více skleniček nebo misky na salát anebo cedník na těstoviny.

Goede locatie in het Noorden.

− Het was erg vochtig, schimmel op de muren, erg koud zonder vaste verwarming om het huis te verwarmen. Het keukengerei was erg smerig. Het huis was absoluut niet schoon, hong vol met spinnenwebben en was slecht geïsoleerd. Het regende ook binnen in de keuken.

leuk, authentiek compleet huis; makkelijk contact met eigenaar, prachtige omgeving als je van wandelen houdt; mooie tuin, zeer complete inrichting.

− het rook een beetje muf, vocht. Maar er stonden meerdere kacheltjes; daar kwamen we te laat achter om ze hiervoor te gebruiken.
