Disastrous, misleading experience
2.0- There was air conditioning in every bedroom, which allowed us to sleep during the heatwave. - The host (or maid of the host) was friendly at check-in, gave us some figs and showed us the house.
− - No communication about the check-in, even if the check-in time was approved. We had to proactively ask the host shortly before our arrival, where we can get the keys to check in and where the supposed "private" parking is located. - The "private" parking is just parking on the street, together with other neighbors that looked pissed and do not greet you when they see you took "their" spot. - We were notified that the keys are located in a secret location. We checked inside and they were not there, so we had to involve the maid of the host. The maid checked and realized "Indeed, the keys are not here" and had to go home to get them, making us wait with the luggage. - On our second day (stay of three nights), we opened the tap and there was no water. No one had told us that they cut the water supply in the neighborhood and we would end up not being able to flush the toilet, shower, wash the dishes, prepare breakfast, etc. We had to learn about this issue through some neighbor and left fo the nearby city to a shopping mall to be able to go to the toilet. We asked the host for a solution via Booking.com and got no response. - The house was clearly not cleaned thoroughly, as we discovered dust on most furniture and it triggered allergies in some of the guests. - The house and the furniture are clearly old and have not been cleaned or kept up-to-date. The beds were uncomfortable. It gave us the impression that the house belonged to now deceased people, was inherited and instead of properly renovating and improving it to turn it into a proper guesthouse it was seen as a nice opportunity to rip off tourists. - Couch in the living room broken with an old blanket to cover the mess. - Internet was slow. - We were literally told to buy coffee capsules ourselves. - Only two small spoons. Cutlery dirty and clearly old and used many times. I assume it belonged to and was used by the deceased owners and was not replaced.
